Originally released in 1994, the Air Jordan IX was a Japanese-inspired style that designer Tinker Hatfield chose for MJ's statue in Chicago. The inner bootie, speed-lacing system and sole all spoke to Jordan's winning qualities, which are carried over into the retroed version of the AJ IX. The Jordan Retro 9 features a minimalist upper that combines leather and nubuck materials, which looks great on top of the dynamic-fit inner bootie, internal support straps and one-pull lace locking system. The midsole is made of polyurethane with a large-volume Air-Sole® unit in the heel and forefoot for cushioning, and the sole is made of solid rubber with multidirectional patterns for traction. Wt. 17.2 oz.

How Come Not A Size 6.5 or 7?
In the motorboat jones and johnny kilroys there isnt a size 6.5 or 7. Are they going to re-release in these sizes?

For the men's Jordan Retro 9 shoe, it seems the vendor cut off the men's sizing at a size 07.5. So you would need to look in the Boy's Grade School category to get a size 06.5 or 07.0. Unfortunately, the boy's version of these men's styles are not being re-released to us and have long since sold out at the warehouse.

These were a retro release by the Jordan Brand. It is unlikely that Eastbay will be able to restock any of these.

Unfortunately, there are no future receipts in any of the sizes for the men's Jordan Retro 9 shoe for any of the colorways shown on the website. Normally, once a shoe is discounted, that is a good indication that the vendor has stopped manufacturing this particular style and the shoe will be no longer available to purchase once stock is gone.

The OG Nine Colorway is the bomb
The OG 9 was the first Air Jordan shoe that I had to have as a kid. I love the simple white with the strong/intimidating look the black trim and teeth provide for this shoe. Because this is one of my all time favorite J's (on the court) I bought the Anniversary White IXs when they came out. To my surprise the 23 Technology in that shoe made them the first retro I ever preferred to an OG J on the court, excluding the OG 12's which just hurt your feet and weighed 20 lbs each.

The men's Jordan Retro 9 shoe does match up to the Jordan OG series and the 25th anniversary IX's. It can be a functional basketball shoe, altho not one of the lightest. The men's Jordan Retro 9 weighs 17.2oz per shoe.
