The best way to care for the men's Nike Lunaracer + shoe along with most other shoes is to just use a damp cloth to try to get the smudge marks out. Use a very mild detergent if needed and lightly rinse. Allow to air dry out of direct sunlight. Shoes should never be machine washed or dried if you want them to last.

Question

Can women wear this shoe?

I am looking for a new racing flat for the marathon in the next month. I know this shoe comes in women, but I know that a lot of racing flats are unisex; is this true for the nike lunarracer? If so how many sizes do you recommend going down? Thanks!

The Nike Lunaracer + shoe that was attached with your question is a men's sized shoe. For the conversion to a women's size, normally you would convert a full size plus a 1/2 size difference. But since this shoe fits 1/2 size small, just convert a full size from a women's to a men's shoe for this particular design. For example, if you are a women's size 07.0, you would need a men's size 06.0 in this style.

The style & design of each of the men's Nike Lunaracer + spikes is essentially the same as far as shoe technology and the materials used in construction. The images online do not always show the true colorways or intricate designs featured on the shoes because of lighting issues. So even on the styles with the blue outsole, the lines on the upper are hard to see, but they are there. The fact that the yellow pair have the yellow outsole instead of the bluish outsole as the other styles do is just by design.

You should get decent results out of the men's Nike Lunaracer + shoe for about 300-400 miles. After that, the midsole will most likely start to break down and not provide as good cushion, comfort, or stability as the shoe initially did.

The Mens Nike Lunaracer + is not specifically designed as an XC shoe. The sole would not be suitable for running in wet ground conditions as it lacks the necessary traction.

The men's Nike Lunaracer + shoe could be used for a racing flat. My only concern would be how well they would grip the indoor tracks. These shoes do not have pins for traction as most sprint spikes have. It would be your personal choice whether this shoe would work for you in the events you run. I have posted pictures of the bottom of the shoe in hopes this will help with your decision.
