I am 62 years old 93.5 kilo &178cms and training for a 14klm road run.

My knees are not the greatest having had an arthroscopy to clean the junk out o one of them. So would need shoes with excellent shook absorption.Would you recommend these shoes or are there some others more preferable for what I am after

The men's Mizuno Wave Prophecy shoe has excellent impact protection because of the structure of the midsole and outsole. And it seems for your scenario that you would want any branded "cushioned" shoe for impact protection. With these Mizuno's, they are designed for a certain foot type though, and your pronation may determine how well these shoes will work for you. As I stated, try searching just 'Cushioned Running Shoes' to see a selection that may not be specific to certain arch types. However, if your arch happens to be 'high', then this Mizuno design would work very well for you.
