Pretty much. The men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer has a 'barefoot' feel that will not offer much support for those with pronation issues or arch problems.

Many weightlifters use the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer when working out. Something about the 'flat' feel of the design which doesn't inhibit your weightlifting stances.

I haven't heard of issues with anyone when using the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer on a treadmill. I would imagine those with feet issues or pronation concerns may want a shoe with more support, depending on your foot type. But otherwise, if they feel comfortable for you, I can't see a reason why you can't use these for running on a treadmill.

What you use the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer for is your personal choice. I believe it was introduced as a weight lifting shoe, but it can also be used as protection from the ground for barefooted runners. My concern would be that the outsole would deteriorate faster since it is designed to be used indoors. I would probably look at 'Racing Flats' for a decent spike that has a barefoot feel.

The Mens adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer is a medium (D) width fitting shoe. You probably want to look for a shoe that has a wider than medium width fitting. These will appear on the web site as E EE 2E 4E etc. You should initially start with width E. To find an appropriate shoe, type 'Mens running shoes wide width' into the search field on our web site. Choose your regular shoe size for the length. This will give you plenty of options to choose from.

The men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer has varied thickness throughout the outsole, starting with 1/2" in the toe area, then increasing to 1 1/4" in the forefoot, ending with 1 3/8" in the heel area. The trainers are not machine washable, and will stay on your fit without strapping them down. The fit is quite tight actually, and your feet stay in place even when doing lateral movements.

The men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer will fit 'True to Size', and you should order your normal shoe size for this product. The thing with this design tho, is that the trainer will feel really tight when you first start wearing it, but it should loosen up and actually conform to your feet after a while.

Just as with any shoe, once it gets wet, it will have to dry out. Same goes for the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer. The materials can withstand activity in water, but should be allowed to dry before each use to help maintain the sockliner. Otherwise, it's quite possible the durability of the trainer will be shortened when exposed to water and not maintained properly afterward.

If you want a cushioning, you need a cushioning shoe. Adipure is a barefoot/minimal shoe for training. Its unrestricted design works your lowers leg, feet and toe muscles, something that a traditional modern shoe does not as it locks your feet in. It teaches you to 'naturally' create/strengthen your own cushioning through natural absorbsion. This is something we have become dependant on with a traditional cushioned shoe and have become lazy depending on it. Please look up barefoot/minimalist running for more info. Hope this helps.

I will hope that readers will respond to this question as well because I don't really know how to rate the cushioning of shoes. There is no industry standard that I could use to give an idea of how the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer will feel. This style does have an OrthoLite sockliner for cushioning, but not much else. So does the shoe have cushioning? Yes. Is it as good as a regular running shoe? Probably not.

With the correct fit, the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer will be as snug as any other well fitted shoe. And it can be used for running. Altho the OrthoLite sockliner provides cushion, this trainer offers a barefoot feel that some runners prefer and benefit from.

Unfortunately, I can not get the measurement you seek until I can get my hands on a pair of the men's adidas adipure Barefoot Trainer, which will not be until mid-November. I can say by the design of the shoe that the heel to forefoot ratio will be so minimal with this shoe, there will seem to be no difference at all. This trainer is designed to offer a barefoot feel. You are welcome to resubmit the question tho, when stock shows available.
