In the Grade School categories, the actual 'last' or mold of the shoe will be identical in both the boy's gender and the girl's gender. So as far as fit, both categories are very similar. In the adult categories, we see a difference in the last between a women's shoe and a men's shoe and this should be taken into consideration. But in the smaller sizing, most times the main difference between the genders is the colorways that are produced.
