I am not entirely sure when the men's Nike Zoom Matumbo 2 spike will be cheaper on the website. First the vendor must release the design to us, then we are allowed to discount the model. This can sometimes take up to six months though, in which most styles sell out first before they are sale priced.

Question

Is the bottom color of the spikes gold?

I have seen other versions of the Matumbo's 2 online where the bottom of the blue spike is blue and white. In this case, the preview is white and gold on Eastbay. It's not a huge concern, but I wanted to make sure that the preview of this shoe is right.

The image we have online for the men's Nike Zoom Matumbo 2 spike with the Game Royal/Black/White colorway is pictured incorrectly. I will point this out to those who can correct. In the meantime, please use my image for reference.

Question

What are the big changes from the Zoom Matumbo 1?

SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER!!! It looks like the material of the shoes is just thicker and makes the shoe heavier, is it supposed to provide more support? I noticed that this shoe weighs 4.2 oz's and the Matumbo 1 is 3.4 oz's. Is the Spike plate on the bottom still plastic and just painted gold or is it medal? I am Currently using my second pair of Zoom Matumbos 1 and I'm just curious if these changes are really beneficial and if i should look into these for my next spike.

The most obvious change would be the colorways available in each style. As far as construction, the men's Nike Zoom Matumbo 2 and the original Nike Zoom Matumbo are built essentially the same. I will have to point out the copy discrepancy for the Matumbo 2. This design only has 4 spike pins as image online suggests. The upper of each spike doesn't seem thicker than one another, yet the Matumbo 2 does seem to have more Flywire technology used for more support. This is the only place I can think of as far as where the extra weight came from. I will re-weigh the shoe just to be sure the listed weight online is accurate. If it is slightly off, I will post another answer for you so you know before the actual copy is changed online. I will also double check the actual plate on the Matumbo 2 to be sure I am correct in stating there are only 4 spike pins. Thank you for your patience...
