Can you please advise if i should buy a size up if i'm wearing a cap when wearing a batting helmet such as this?

Yes, I would size up if you plan on wearing a cap with the Rawlings Coolflo Pro Helmet. One size difference should offer enough room in the helmet for a cap as well. But the helmet design isn't meant to be worn with a cap and it's hard to say how well the fit will feel while wearing one.

Yes, the helmet size will be the same as the hat size in the fit guide provided on the website for the men's Rawlings Coolflo Pro Helmet. Some Rawlings helmets are sold in alpha sizing, so that is why it is referenced on the size chart for the men's Rawlings Coolflo Pro Helmet. I can see where this would confuse our customers a little tho. The best way to size the men's Rawlings Coolflo Pro Helmet is to get your actual head size (can be done with string & a ruler) and compare that circumference with the hat circumference in the size chart online. So, as an example, if I had a 22" head circumference, I would look over and match this to the 7" hat size, which is the size you should choose when ordering the helmet.
