A 10.5 size should work for you with the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike since that is what you wear in the Lunarglide series. Both styles will have a similar fit.

Question

Sizing

I wear Asics Ds trainers 16. I've never worn spikes before but I was recommended they would improve my times a lot. I have read that they should be half a size down and I have also read that you should stay the same size I was curious if these are opinions or if customers/employees could help explain better. I live in Singapore and I have had no luck in finding them in stores. Thanks in advance.

Shoes from different vendors can seem to fit a bit differently. Nike is notorious for having a really Slim profile that causes some customers with wider feet to adjust their size up 1/2 size to allow for a bit more room in the shoe. For spikes, most will prefer a very snug fit to help with performance. Usually these spikes from all vendors will conform to your feet with some use because the manufacturers know what runners prefer and use lightweight, flexible materials for the uppers. Reference the Fit Guide Icon online for each shoe and order the size recommended. Since the men's Nike Zoom Victory spikes fit true, your regular size 10.0 should work for these. It might help for you to read reviews on the shoes as well. If there is something odd with the fit, you will usually see a pattern with consumer responses as well. The answers on this platform with a 'Staff' badge are actual employees, such as myself. We try our best to be accurate and specific with information...but sometimes we can even be mislead. So questions are good!

A 23cm size in the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike is equivalent to a U.S. men's size 04.0, which in reality is a big kids size. I don't know what you mean by 230 size, but am hoping you just missed the period in your question.

Question

How do i clean the White/Black/Electric Green/Blue Glow spikes?

So i recently bought these spikes and they are the best spikes ever! They are very comfortable and helped me run so much faster in the mile. I love the way they look but the white space in between the flywire part gets dirty and I"m just wondering is there any way to clean them. I would like to keep them clean as possible.

I would recommend just water and an old toothbrush to clean the men's Nike Zoom Victory spikes. If you need soap, use a very mild detergent and allow shoes to air dry out of direct sunlight.

Question

What size should I opt for, 8.5 or 8?

Starting track season in a couple of months now and some nice deals for the zoom victory are being snagged. There are plenty of sizes in 8 and only one size left in an 8.5 at my local online store. They say I should go half size smaller but here, it says that I should go for same size. What should I do? :/

We have fit testers to check various shoes for sizing discrepancies, especially if we see a high return rate. We try to hit them all if we can, but we must rely on vendor information at times because there are just too many different styles kept at the warehouse. But we did revisit the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike, and unless you have a wide foot, the spike does fit 'True to Size'. The design does seem narrow, but most track runners like to have a snug fit in spikes.

Because of the design of the men's adidas adiZero Mana 6 shoe, and the fact you stated you had a wide foot, you could probably even order a full size larger in the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike and still get a decent fit. This comes down to personal preference. If you want a really snug fit in the Nike spike, just size up 1/2 size. If you want a more normal fit, then size up a full size.

Question

Durability of shoe?

how durable are they? Also, while I will majorly be using them for the 800, if I get to do some other events (like Steeplechase), would they hold up at all? (This wouldn't be as often as the 800- Just whether they'd fall apart if they got wet or anything)

is just the plate plastic? or is it plastic right from toe to heel

The men's Nike Zoom Victory spike does have a full length hard plastic outsole from heel to toe. The upper material on the spike should not get damaged by water if the spikes are allowed to dry out after they get soaked. Technically, this spike is designed for 800-5000 meters, yet the 1/4" pyramid spikes can be used in other events if you so choose. The men's Nike Zoom Victory spike has a durable construction that should last a while, regardless of the events it is being used in.

The upcoming colorways for the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike are designed through the manufacturer and sometimes we will not see the newer designs until just days before their release. The best place to see any upcoming styles for the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike is the vendor website. They will have accurate information, including the most updated pictures if there are any. Most times we will not see the image of the shoe, but just go by the color descriptions of the shoe when we are pre-ordering the newer designs. So I wouldn't know which colors are considered the alternate patches on the spike by just using the colorway description.

The technical difference between the men's Nike Zoom Victory spike and the men's Nike Zoom Victory XC spike is that the XC series has 3/8" pyramid pins, whereas the Nike Zoom Victory spike series has 1/4" long pins. Otherwise, the spike plate, midsole, & upper will have a very similar design and fit, altho it is based on personal preference whether the XC series is more comfortable since it is made for longer distances. Usually, the XC series would be used for distances of 1500-10000m, and the Nike Zoom Victory spike with the 1/4" spikes is used more for 400-1500m distances. In the end, it would be based on a runner's personal preference tho.
